The Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) Chrome Extension is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is used.
This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information, account credentials, location, financial data, or the content of the pages you visit.
The only information that leaves your device is the domain names of your most-visited sites, which are sent to Google's public favicon service to display the small shortcut icons on the new tab page (see "Third-Party Services" below). This is the basis for the "Web history" disclosure on our store listing.
The extension uses your browser's local storage only to remember the last displayed background image, ensuring a different background is shown each time you open a new tab. No personal information is stored.
The extension fetches website favicons from Google's favicon service (google.com/s2/favicons) to display shortcut icons. No personal data is sent in these requests — only the domain name of your most visited sites.
The only data transmitted off your device is the domain names of your most-visited sites, sent to Google's favicon service for the sole purpose of rendering shortcut icons. This information is never sold, is not used for advertising, profiling, tracking, or any purpose other than displaying those icons, and is not shared with any other third party. The extension contains no analytics and no advertising.
If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, please open an issue on the GitHub repository.
